Pelita Hari Raya

I have painted this Pelita Hari Raya as my decorations at the shop. It is made of plastic. I wished it would be made of tin which is more practical to use and easier to paint on. I used enamel paint for this. Anyway I bought it at Giant - RM 3.50 for 10 pieces.

Trilogy set of painting

A student came to learn a set of painting based on a trilogy. A good experience in painting figures on canvas and using acrylic paint. Nevertheless it is not that easy after all....

Hari Raya Signage

I have been trying to finished this Hari raya signage for days and finally I did it after blasting the Raya songs to get into the mood of painting.....hahaha!! some of the words on the signage are taken from the lyrics of the songs....

Painting on Metal surfaces.

So,me of the paintings that I did for my customers on metal surfaces which is not that easy to do. After all the years of painting I still struggle to get the paint stick to the surface especially when it has already sprayed with metal paint. It is too smooth to get a grip.

My third book is gradually selling

First buyer of the new book

This the first customer who came to the shop to buy the latest book. Just to clarify, this book is all about painting on glass surfaces. It has 128 pages and  22 projects with step-by-step instructions in Malay. The price is RM 19.90 and rm 22.90 (sabah/sarawak). In this book you are able to learn how to use outliners, glass paint pen, etching cream, lead strip, transparent and opaque paint for glass.

Currently I'm selling it at the shop or I can mail it to you also. Supposed to be available at MPH and Popular book stores in a week or two.

As I was driving to the Karangkraf Warehouse in Shah Alam, it was raining heavily. Nevertheless It is a great day fo me as my third book "Seni Hiasan Kaca" is finaaly out of the printing press and into the warehouse ready to be distributed. The price is RM 19.90 and it has 128 pages fully coloured. You can get step-by-step istructions in Malay on how to do 22 interesting projects. It is written for anybody who is interested to paint on glass surfaces especially now that Hari Raya is coming, you can decorate your cookie jars.

Folk Art Cake painting class at ICCA, Kota Damansara (7/7/2013)

Yesterday I had the opportunity to teach Folk Art Cake painting - Daisies and Roses at TCCA, Kota Damansara. Surprisingly the class went very well and the students were able to follow.

Pre-launched of my third book

Today I had a get together with the Karangkraf Project Team that helped me in producing my third book "Seni Hiasan Kaca". It is to celebrate the birth of my new book and also my birthday (hehehe!!). Anyway, it is a time to thank them for their hard work in making this book a reality. Hopefully it will be out in the market next week (so many technical hitches just to get this book rolling out). I sincerely hope that I will get the support from all my customers and students.

Cake Painting classes at ICCA, Kota Damansara

Currently I am preparing for my Folk Art Cake Painting Class for Beginners - Daisies will be on the 7th July, 2013 (Sun) at 10.00 am. The Folk Art Cake Painting Intermediate - Roses will be at 1.30 pm on the same day. They will be held at ICCA, Kota Damansara.  This class is assumed that participants already know how to wrapped fondant on a cake. The price includes a Fondant Dummy Cake, Brushes, Worksheet and Colours. You only need to bring Kitchen towel and apron. For the Roses class it is required that you already know the basic folk art painting.
