The past week I have been busy teaching this student from Japan who came almost everyday to learn several techniques in Folk Art like Shading, dry-brushing and strokework. She had covered quite a fair bit of design from Russia, Norway and of course Malaysia....painting Bunga Raya, Petronas Twin Tower and a Kampung House.

Multi-loading Technique
This is my latest piece of art work which I have painted using the Multi-loading technique which has been popularised by Folk Artist like Enid Hoesinger, Erika Armand and melinda Neist. The interesting thing about this brush work is that you load three different colours on a single round brush.

More baking
Looks like I am enjoying baking and decorating cakes rather than spending time painting. Here are two cakes that I did recently a Genoise cake and a Pound cake with Buttercream icing. The best that I can do at the moment and hopefully it will get better as I go along.
