Cute little signages

I have painted some little signage to sell. Quite fun to do this kind of little project as you get to choose different colours for each background. Anyway, in this case the wording is more important then the simple design.

Folk Art Series at all levels

These are student that came to learn Folk Art in the Beginning series, Intermediate Series and the Advanced level. The advanced level normally learn the traditional side of Folk Art from various countries like Russia, Norway, Holland, Germany, that relies on a lot brushstroke technique. Intermediate series normally covers the contemporary design such still life, animals, scenery, etc.

Refurbished old stools.

Old stools should not be discarded. You can always re-painted and refurbished to make it more interesting and matching with your current interior decor. In fact I enjoy painting the stools even though I know in the end people are going to sit on it. It just make you feel honored to be sitting on a very nice chair. The only thing about re-painting an old chair is the sandpapering to get rid of the old varnish and paint.

Liitle gift boxes

I made these little gift boxes as samples. Quite fun to do when they ar not many.

Organic surface

I have made a brown box into my brochure holder by painting a hydrangea on it. I also did a signage out of a brown paper bag. I did not paint any background colour on both item and I thought it looks very organic in its original form.

Promoting my book at the Central Market KL

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to promote my book at the Central Market, KL. To those who came to watch me do a live demo, thanks for taking the interest. Those who had bought the book, thank you so much for the support.

Selamat datang Plaques

These two plaques were painted for my American customerswho wanted to have a "Selamat Datang" plaque to be hang on the front doors of their houses in the USA. Very different from most of the people here who wants to have a "Welcome" sign at their houses.

Mugs for family

I had a chance to paint on mugs for a family day event. I just used enamel paint so that it can be used and washed. By the way, if you are free tomorrow 10/3/2011, visit me at the Central Market KL at 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm as I will be doing free demonstrations and promoting my book there.

I have also did a photo shoot with them recently for the upcoming May issue which shows how to door gifts for an event.

Hydrangeas on a cupboard door

This is a cupboard door which I have painted some Hydrangeas for a customer. Looks like a lot of people ike this flower.

Ceramic pots

These are some ceramic pots that I have painted with enamel paint where the customer can used it and washed whenever. No varnishing is required after painting it.
