FA Workshop in Ipoh Again

I will be conducting the Folk Art Workshop in Ipoh again on the 8th May, 2011 (Sunday). This will be in the usual place i.e. Hill City Hotel, Ipoh. The time will be between 9.30 am - 4.30 pm. Those attended will learn to paint Still Life - Kitchen things. We will cover basecoating, shading, highlighting, dry brushing and stippling technique. Also need to inform that on the 30th April 2011 (Saturday), I will be conducting FA workshop for beginners at Carlton Hotel, Seremban between 10 am - 4.30 pm.

I will also be conducting FA workshop for beginners on the 7th May, 2011(Saturday) at Nuriz Palace Hotel, Sg. Petani, Kedah. The time will be between 10 am - 4.30 pm.

Portrait for Birthday

A customer had asked me to do something with the photo of her daughter as a birthday gift. I have decided to mount the picture on a canvas and using several technique to decorate around it. I used texture paste and stencils as well as did some folk art painting on it. It turns out quite well. Very authentic look. I am quite pleased with the result and so is the customer.

Still life by two students

These two students have opted to paint Still Life from the kithcen series. They had done these projects in two lessons and there will be more kitchen things to paint by these ladies in the near future.

The Bird Lady is back!!

This student who loves birds is painting again after a few months break. This time around she is painting Flamingos on yet another stool. Plenty of stools to paint and more birds to come. All these paintings are based from the pictures in her big bird book.

Ipoh workshop - 17/4/2011

Yesterday I had the opportunity to teach Folk Art with a group of students in Ipoh. Everyone had a fun time painting bears and thanks to one of the students who brought a homemade chocolates for us ..."sedap giler!"....next time can bring some more.

Speaking of that, we will have a workshop again in Ipoh on the 8th May, 2011 (Sunday) to paint Still Life. Those interested can call me for details. Will update later on the sample.

Signage with a heart

Really like doing this signage because of the shape of the plaque. Painting chocolates, cupcakes and jellies sometimes make your saliva drops.
