Decorative Painting 1-2-3

I have a limited copies of Priscilla Hauser's Decorative Painting 1-2-3 for sale. This book has a step-by-step approach of decorative painting of Nature (Flowers, fruits, seashell, ladybirds, etc). It has 16 projects with 154 pages of pictures and information. A good quality imported book by a well-known artist.

Country Milk Can

This is an old Milk Can that I have half painted and half decoupage for a customer. Its is all relating to a Country theme. Simple but still attractive.

Folk Art Workshop in Ipoh

At last we had a folk art workshop session in Ipoh last Sunday. Even though time was running short but I presumed everyone had enjoyed the session and learned something from it. I felt very exhausted today but satisfied that the program was a success. A big thank you to all who had participated and most of all to those who had helped to organised it. Hopefully there would be more to come in the future. "IPOH ROCKS !!!".

Bird on a Table Cloth

A student learning to paint a bird on a linen table cloth. This is using the acrylic paint and mixing it with the Textile medium to make it permanent on the fabric. The motif is based on a Big a book of Birds.

Workshop in Ipoh Perak

I will be conducting a workshop in Ipoh, Perak on Sunday 25th April, 2010. The venue is at Hotel Hill City Ipoh and it will be between the time 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 pm.

You will learn to paint Daisies and Roses as in the picture. The technique covered will be : Preparing the surface and Basecoating, Brushstrokes, Shading and Highlighting. If time permits, I will also demonstrate some background effects that you can do on your own.

The fees will cover the lesson, materials, tools, place and lunch.

I will also be bringing some paints, brushes, wood items and books to be sold to those who are interested.

Roses on Glass

This is a glass item that I painted with roses using the Enamel Paint. Its is difficult to paint using the brushstroke method on a smooth surface like this. So you need to layered it a couple of times before you can see the flowers.
