2nd Day of CNY

I presumed all my Chinese friends are busy with visiting relatives and entertaining guests. I also managed to visit a friend of which I had made a small painted cake for the occasion. My family also had our own gathering ala CNY but it all ended when my old mother fell and broke her hip. When we send her to the hospital there were many casualties involved in road accidents at the emergency ward. So people, please be careful when you are on the road.

Happy CNY 2013 - Gong Xi Fa Cai

Yesterday was havoc and this morning the road and Amcorp Mall is very quiet....too peaceful for my liking...hahaha!! I presumed most of the people has gone balik kampung...anyway my Gingerbread Man from China wants to wished all my students, customers and friends who celebrate CNY to have a happy and prosperous year. Those not celebrating...just enjoy your holidays. If you are driving outstation please be careful on the road. If you are in town enjoy your cruising on the road. Remember not to over eat yourself.. Give out more Ang Pows as it will bring you more luck...hahaha!! We will be closed on Sun 10/2/2013 and will be opening again on Mon 11/2/2013 at 11 am. Take Care !!!

Wedding Gift

I did this key hanger plaque for a wedding gift with pink bacground and with ever popular roses design. My craft is also featured in the Feb 1 issue of Majalah Remaja.

Cute Cat on a shelf

This cute cat was painted for a cat lover on a little shelf to put spice bottles. By the way Creative Cottage at Amcorp Mall, PJ  will be closed on Sun 10/2/2013 for the CNY festivity. But we are open on Mon 11/2/2013 between 11.00 am. - 5.00 pm. If you are around town, drop by the shop.

Roses on boxes.

There are many ways of painting roses with various technique. Different Folk Artist has different outlook of the roses. Here is a student who learned two different ways - Annette Stevenson's method which uses flat brush and Melinda Neist's method of  Multiloading using round brush.

Photo Shoot with Majalah Keluarga

A few days ago I did a photo shoot session with Majalah Keluarga for the March issue. I did two items using rubber stamping on wood and Crackling on a bottle. If you are interested to know more, wait for it to come out in the magazine later.
