Royal Icing Cake

Our shop is open today Friday 29/6/2012 but we are closed again tomorrow Sat 30/6/2012. The shope will be open for business as usual this Sunday. Anyway, this is my latest Cake Adventure using Royal Icing...sometimes you just need to explore the possibilities of what you are capable of. This is the only way you know whether you have what it takes.

Painted Cupcakes on a wooden item

Painted cupcakes on a wooden item......inspired by baking cupcakes lately....Just to inform that my shop will be closing tomorrow Sat. 23rd June 2012. But we will open for business on Sunday as usual. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. This June/Julys month will be quite busy as I planned to improved my skills in painting and baking.....there are always room for improvements and I hope with these skills I could grow as an artist and serve my customers well.

Kitchen deco items

I have painted some deco items for the kitchen. All inspired by the many baking session that I have at the kitchen. Today Sunday 17th June 2012, my shop is open for business as usual. Come and drop by if you have time.

Ancient sword

A customer had asked me to paint this large sword which is a replica of the sword used by one of the Anime characters which he wants to used for a function. I had fun doing it but the painting become a bit tedious when you want to apply the staining effect to make it look rusty and ancient.. Actually I based the painting from some of the pictures he showed me and the wooden sword was originally ordered form china. I only had to make it look rusted metal.

Cake corner and menu

After making so many cakes lately I was inspired to paint a signage "cake corner" that looks a bit old-fashioned and vintage.. At the same time I had to do a dessert menu for a restaurant with Ice cream and tapai. The colour scheme is the reversed of what I did with Cake corner. It has a more cheerful outlook as requested by the customer.
