Picket Fences
This is a picket fence that I have painted like a garden with birdhouses of different shapes and sizes. Quite a fun project to do using several techniques and tools such as scruffy brush, fan brush, deerfoot brush, angle brush, round brush and liner brush. The colours chosen are more to the country outlook. By the way, the picket fence are more for decoration in-door or at the porch rather than out in the garden.

Chicken on Canvas
Nyonya style stool
This is a stool that I have painted for a customer who had requested for a nyonya style motif to match her placemat. I have used Jo Sonja paints for the entire stool. To get the similar effect, I've based the motif using white colour on top of the orange background (mixture of yelllow orange & vermillion). Then used washed paint to colour each section of the motif. A bit tedious actually, but its achievable.

Stoney Cat
You can also paint on stones using the acrylic paint. However, you need to prepare the surface first by applying two layers of gesso prior to painting the background colour. Also apply two layers of varnish after finishing the painting. Here's a student learning to paint a cat on a large stone while her daughter painted a door knob hanger.
Chicken Shack
This is an egg holder that looks like a chicken shack. I've painted one side of the holder with brown chicken and the other side is a white chicken. The front part I've painted eggs and a little chick. Those students that already finishes the beginner series are welcome to learn to paint this chicken shack. Because of the elaborate design, you may have to do it in two sessions. The egg holder will only be available for students who intends to learn this design. Please call me if you are interested.

Tiger for dad
This year is the year of Tiger. This student is learning to paint the tigers on the side of a mirror frame to be given to her dad. We start painting the tiger in white since the background is in black and slowly we shaped it it up with shading and highlighting. Some parts of the tigers had to used the rake brush to get the effect. In the beginning it looks a bit complicated to finished it within 2 hours but in the end it turns out quite well.

Oriental Design
One of my customer had requested me to do an oriental design on a stoll that matches he placemat. Its a very intricate design which took me a long time to finished because I had to do it bit by bit. The spiral design makes you feel dizzy after staring at it for half an hour. It gets a bit monotonous after awhile because it only uses three colours.
